The Opticians, designer and entrepreneur Heiko Stumbeck was born in Bavaria, southern Germany, in 1942. During his training to become an optician at Fachschule für Augenoptik in Bern, Switzerland, Heiko was warned to thoroughness that has followed him in all aspects of his work. In 1965 Heiko Stumbeck travelled to Denmark where he opened his first Optician in 1974. Because of his big interest in design he began to design and produce spectacle frames himself. Today Heiko Stumbeck is the owner of several stores, and Heiko by Heiko is a popular fashion brand that combines boldness and refinement with durability and functionality.

We started out in modest surroundings in Odense back in 1974. A rented second floor space was our alfa, Heiko by Heiko became our omega. Today, Heiko Stumbeck A/S is an international corporation dedicated to eyewear and contact lenses. You will find our shops in Odense, Middelfart, Copenhagen, Svendborg, Berlin and Malaga. Heiko by Heiko is a natural consequence of the development of Heiko Stumbeck A/S. It is a brand witch emphasises the fact that there is more to us than what meets the eye… Today we have become an international team of skilled professionals and eyewear designers, all of whom contribute to the process of designing our glasses. When visiting a shop of ours, you will frequently find new collections. Those are made in limited editions, in order to give our customers the satisfaction of unique eyewear.
